Traditional Beira cooking, from recipes gathered one by one in the villages of the region. Pork rojões with blood sausage, salt cod baked in cornbread, oven-roasted kid goat and Dão wine, served in clay and cast iron.

Our story
Dom Zeferino, who founded the Cortiço, travelled through the villages of the region listening to old recipes that only existed by word of mouth. Those gatherings gave us the dishes that are still on our menu today.
